Activities:
To develop and verify technical solutions through detailed design work in CAD for components and systems with packaging verification, elaborate documentation (drawings, technical regulations, etc), requiring a holistic view of maintenance, projects and Advanced Engineering within the technical area.
To utilize existing engineering tools, methods and processes and to follow general Chassis & Vehicle Dynamic Engineering process according to the “DVP Project Handbook “.
To contribute actively to Technology Development activities.
To have a stated responsibility for a component or part of a system, consequently being responsible for product cost and to support budget estimation by providing input in terms of material cost and development hours.
Support verification plans, both virtual and physical, following DVP; elaborate technical descriptions for
projects and to produce time- and activity plan leading the execution of activities for assigned areas, assuring homologation if necessary.
To follow up status and work with quality issues, run Protus cases and participate in Design Reviews; to
participate in risk analysis, root cause analysis and FMEA’s.
To, when applicable, participate in strategic sourcing and systematic ratio work for cost improvement.
To play a key role in a cross-functional network regarding the technical area by communicating with Global Technology Manager, Sub-System Component Team, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Project Management etc., and to, if needed, dialogue with suppliers regarding various technical issues, in order to anchor technical solutions from engineering.

Requisitos:

Requirements:
Master of Science (equivalent to Mechanical Engineer Degree in Brazil);
Solid experience as product development engineer or design engineer;
Engineering experience in automotive solutions, preferably with engine installation and surrounding systems;
Strong knowledge of 3D CAD software (Pro/E) and Product Data Management systems;
Knowledge in application of Quality tools (Risk analysis, DFMEA, etc.);
Fluent in English and Portuguese (Written & Verbal).
